Greenwich
Rebeccas — (203) 532-9270; 265 Glenville Road, Greenwich, Connecticut.
Amenities: If you read Food & Wine magazine, you may recall the stunning photo of their sleek
counter seating. This inviting area overlooks the glass-enclosed display kitchen which is easily seen from any
location in this light and airy restaurant.
Co-owner and general manager Rebecca Kirhoffer revealed this seating for six was originally designed for neighbors
to stop in for a quick bite. It's now so popular, reservations are now taken.
Fans of this area are varied. They include restaurateurs, a message therapist and "adorable little Charlie"
who calls to make reservations for himself and his parents. Four year old J.R., another younger regular, delights
in making his own dessert in the kitchen with the pastry chef. (Ask about "Tiger" and the fish bowl!)
One grateful wife, traveling from Nantucket, made a special visit to thank the staff for "feeding her husband
throughout the summer."
